Multidisciplinary Artist | Teacher

As someone who has lived in diverse cultures and environments, including London, Cape Town, Tel Aviv, and currently Barcelona, I have a unique perspective on the world that greatly influences my creative practice. I am passionate about working and creating things that provide me with a better understanding of the world and interesting experiences.

I have experience working with a wide range of media, including graphic design, illustration, painting, photography, fashion,
and writing.

I am constantly seeking new and innovative ways to express my ideas and bring them to life. My approach to research involves using a variety of techniques to gain insights and inspiration, and I thrive in environments that are open to diverse perspectives and collaboration.

Overall, I am excited about the possibility of using my skills and experience to contribute to an organization or team that values creativity, innovation, and diversity.

  • In my practice, I strive to reach a better understanding of human behaviour, focusing on themes of family life and the female experience. Taking a fluid approach, I experiment using photography, painting, drawing, writing and video to build up impressions; these works are then collated in a ‘digital installation’ that enables me to observe and create parallel narratives.

These experiments are grounded in my own personal history: I use life-long family documentation such as clips from VCR home videos, photographs, hand-written notes by my mother and myself, excerpts of articles and my lived experience as an art teacher.

Due to the uprooting of my home across continents at a young age, I have long been fascinated by how an environment can impact behaviour and culture. Community and nomadism are key themes in my work. Through the lens of being a woman, I unpack the complexities found in family life: expectations and responsibilities; sacrifices; one’s ability to forget, adapt and evolve.

Different media enable me to explore these relationships in various ways. Whilst I find a certain freedom in drawing and painting, I enjoy the possibilities of capturing moments using photography.

I take inspiration from photojournalism, particularly the genre’s objective to portray subjects with honesty and impartiality.

I continue to develop this merged body of work, with the inclusion of each work, each ‘note’, adding a new layer to this exploration of human behaviour.
